Traveling to Lakeland, Florida

​Lakeland is popular in history because Native American tribes resided in it. Even then, Lakeland is already known for its lakes that is why it was named the way it did. There are a variety of things that you can do here such as bird watching, boating, and fishing. 

​Circle B Bar Reserve 

The Circle B Bar Reserve is a large piece of land in the southeast of Lakeland. It has been rehabilitated as a protection for the delta of Lake Hancock. It is a good place for people who love hiking and biking on trails that are not paved. They can also go fishing in Lake Hancock. Picnic facilities are available for visitors to use.

​Lake Mirror Park

Lake Mirror Park organizes theater productions in its amphitheater. It provides senior adult activities for seniors and has a popular promenade. The park has 20 campsites that can hold large groups and it has a 200-foot beach adjoining a picnic ground. Lake Mirror Park has trails for skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. 

​Explorations V Children's Museum

This is a great destination for families who are exploring the Lakeland area. Visitors will enjoy the Explorations V children's Museum with its mission to educate children with active play and exploration. The V in the museum's name represents the five senses which are the museum's main concept. The museum has different themes that include space, music, fauna and flora, and other displays that are intended to stimulate creativity among children through hands-on learning. 

​Joker Marchant Stadium 

The stadium can hold 8,500 people. It is Lakeland's leading baseball stadium that became operational in 1966. The stadium serves as Detroit Tigers' training site. The stadium is a wonderful place to watch an all-American baseball match. In 2003, the stadium was renovated and both visitors and locals gather here to witness games between local and visiting teams. 

​Fantasy of Flight 

If you are fascinated with aviation and anything that is related to it, you will enjoy a trip to Fantasy of Flight. It educates its visitors on the history of flight that includes the First and the Second World Wars. The site offers the largest collection of private aircraft in the world. It opened its doors to the public in 1980. Almost all the displayed pieces in Fantasy of Flight can still function well. 

​Hollis Garden

Why not spend an afternoon in Hollis Garden? The garden is near the city area that is why it is a convenient site to visit. You can be awestruck by 10,000 flowers that can be found in the garden. There are also fountains and scenic views of the Lake Mirror. The garden features a butterfly trail and beautiful rose gardens. 

Lake Morton

Lake Morton is popular for its tranquil environment and clear waters. The site surrounding the lake has walking trails that are available for visitors to appreciate the views of the area even more. Some activities tourists can enjoy in the lake are fishing and boating.
